Rabbi Steve Burnstein is the spiritual leader at Reform Congregation Kehilat Birkat Shalom at Kibbutz Gezer, serving central Israel. Originally from the Kansas City area, Rabbi Burnstein made Aliya in 1996 and lives at Kibbutz Gezer with his wife, Varda Livney, and his son, Micah, and daughter, Gavriella. On Friday evening, he will reflect on the theme of tzedek (justice) and its role in his rabbinate and in his life in Israel.
